Listen up, hockey fans! It’s a great day to be a Red Wings supporter. While we wait for the real points to start hitting the standings, let’s talk about the energy in the building. Yesterday, September 22, the boys put on a show, taking down Pittsburgh with a decisive 7-4 victory! Seeing that kind of offensive pressure this early in the preseason gets me fired up for what’s ahead. Of course, the rest of the league was busy too, with several preseason exhibitions across the NHL, including Boston’s 5-1 win over Philadelphia and Utah’s 6-3 victory over LA. Again, these are just exhibitions—they don't count toward the standings—but they are vital for shaking off the summer rust. We are in the build-up phase now, looking toward roster solidification and finding those line combinations that will carry us through a long, grind-it-out season. Detroit is hungry, the draft picks are developing, and the atmosphere around the league is electric. Keep your eyes on the young talent and the new faces in the lineup as we march toward October. Hockey is back, and I couldn't be happier. Let’s go, Wings!
