It was a frustrating night in Houston as the Tigers fell 4-2 to the Astros. The bats just couldn't capitalize when it mattered most, and that’s a tough pill to swallow for us faithful in the Motor City. But listen, this is a long season, and if you’ve followed this club as long as I have, you know we don't pack it in after one tough result on the road.
Looking at the bigger picture, the AL Central is shaping up to be an absolute dogfight this year. Every single game counts, and while we’d love to be sitting comfortably at the top, the standings show there is plenty of baseball left to play. Our Tigers are right in the thick of it, grinding out wins and staying relevant in a division that refuses to give an inch. The pitching staff has kept us in games all year, and I know our lineup is due for a breakout stretch that will put the rest of the league on notice. We have the heart, the talent, and the city behind us. Keep the faith, Detroit—we are still very much in this hunt.
