It is a tough pill to swallow, folks. Finishing 9 games back in the American League Central is not where we wanted to be when we broke camp back in February. Our regular season concluded at 162 games played, and while there were flashes of brilliance on that diamond, the consistency simply wasn't there to carry us into October. As a fan, it hurts to see the postseason bracket unfold without our boys in the Old English D. We had our moments, but at 76-86, we have to be honest about where this organization stands. The front office has some serious heavy lifting to do this offseason. We need to identify exactly why we couldn't close the gap and how we can bolster this roster to ensure we aren't watching from the sidelines next year. Was it the depth? The pitching stability? The lineup's inconsistency? Everything is under the microscope now. While it is quiet at the ballpark today, Friday, October 9, 2026, the work to rebuild and return to glory starts immediately. We’ve got the pride, we’ve got the city, and now we need the pieces to turn this frustration into a winning future. Keep the faith, Detroit.
