It is a tough pill to swallow for us here in the Motor City. While the rest of the league carries on with the postseason, our Tigers are watching from the sidelines after falling nine games back in the American League Central. This season was a grind, and despite the grit our guys showed on the diamond, we simply couldn't find the consistency needed to punch a ticket to October. We saw flashes of brilliance and individual growth, but the lack of sustained execution ultimately left us on the outside looking in.

Now, the focus shifts entirely to the offseason. The front office has some serious questions to answer as they look to build a roster capable of closing that gap. We need to identify where we can shore up the lineup and deepen the pitching staff to ensure we aren't standing here at the end of the year wondering what could have been. Detroit is a baseball town, and the fans deserve a squad that is right there in the mix when the leaves turn. It’s time to reload, retool, and come back ready to reclaim our spot in the Central come next spring. We’ll be ready.
