Listen up, Pistons faithful. It’s August, the arenas are dark, and the league is catching its breath after the Boston Celtics hoisted that trophy back in June. While the rest of the world is taking a vacation, we’re still working. Jaylen Brown took home Finals MVP, but that’s history—I’m looking at what’s happening in our own backyard. We’ve been through the wringer, but this off-season has been about shedding the soft skin. Bringing in Trajan Langdon to steer the ship was a necessary move. We aren’t looking for handouts or shortcuts; we’re looking for guys who want to bleed for this city. The draft and free agency moves might not have made headlines in LA or New York, but that’s fine by us. We’ve added veterans to mentor our young core and bring some actual accountability to that locker room. Cade Cunningham has the keys, and it’s time he steps up and demands excellence. The Eastern Conference isn't going to roll over, but we’re done being the league’s doormat. It’s a new day in Detroit. Put in the work, play hard, or get out. Let’s see who’s ready to fight.
