Look, I’ve been around since the dawn of time, or at least it feels that way given how long it’s been since we hoisted the Cup. Being a Leafs fan is a lifestyle of cardiovascular risk and questionable life choices. Sitting at 4-4-2 with 74 games left, we are well within the race, though the Atlantic Division isn’t exactly rolling out the red carpet for us. Tonight, we face the Blue Jackets in Columbus. It’s early, the sky isn't falling yet, and if we can just string a few wins together, maybe—just maybe—this isn't the year I finally give up and sell my jersey. Looking back at Monday, October 19, the boys managed a solid 3-1 win against San Jose, which was a nice change of pace from the usual agony. There’s a massive slate of 11 games tonight, including the Leafs trying to prove they can play on the road. The league is chaotic as always, but for now, my focus remains on whether we can actually put together a full sixty minutes of competent hockey. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, and yet, I’m already exhausted. Go Leafs Go, I suppose.
